Monarey Winery is a boutique producer of small-batch wines in the Temecula Valley AVA, Southern California. They source varietals from Europe's renowned regions like Tuscany, Rhône, and Rioja, crafting wines with malolactic fermentation and 18 months oak barrel aging done locally in Old Town Temecula. Their unique terroir features granitic soil, 1600 feet elevation, and a microclimate 30 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

What They Make
Syrah
Medium to high-bodied with dark fruit, smoky flavors, tobacco, blueberry, plum, black currant; aged in American oak from Wisconsin and Appalachia adding spice, nutmeg, caramel, vanilla.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep red with plum, black cherry, menthol, licorice, chocolate; thick supple weight, dark red fruit, earthiness, toffee; aged in French oak from Troncais Forest adding clove, almond, white chocolate.
