Scar of the Sea Wines LLC is owned and operated by Mikey and Gina Giugni in San Luis Obispo, CA, established in 2012 as biodynamic farmers and natural winemakers from California's SLO Coast. They produce wines naturally with native yeast, no adjustments, bottled unfiltered, featuring a solera system for white wines that reflects the coastal terroir. In July 2024, they acquired the 29-acre Bassi Vineyard in Avila Beach, their home vineyard in the SLO Coast AVA, stewarding 42 acres total across sites.
