Lava Cap is a third-generation family-owned winery located in Placerville, CA, high in the Sierra Nevada foothills at 2700 feet elevation. They produce red and white wines from estate mountain vineyards grown in unique volcanic soils that yield intensely aromatic, luscious wines with deep, rich fruit flavors. Celebrating 40 years, they emphasize high-elevation grapes from the El Dorado AVA.
