Yellowhammer Brewing opened in West Huntsville in 2010 by four guys who wanted to bring good, traditional beer to Alabama. The brewery grew rapidly and in 2015 made a big move to a new facility at Campus 805, which has since doubled in size to include more brewing space, a private Bierhall event space, and a new distillery. They remain focused on creating premium ales and lagers that draw on Belgian and German brewing traditions with a Southern interpretation.
