Dao Distillery produces rượu đế, a traditional Vietnamese rice liquor similar to shochu or soju, distilled in California using premium Calrose and jasmine rice from the Sacramento River Delta. Founded by Dr. Binh Đào in September 2024, it blends scientific methods with ancestral techniques from his uncle Tuong Đào, emphasizing zero-waste practices and sustainability. In its first year, it has won multiple gold medals and the Sustainability Leader Award from the City of Rancho Cordova.
